I know what you're thinking. Who are the 40 Thieves?
They're a local band who specializes in Irish music mixed in with a little bit of rock and roll on the side. They perform everything from traditional Irish music, like Spancill Hill, to Van Morrison, even throwing in a little J. Geils band.
Anyway, Saturday, October 13, they're going to be playing at Flanagan's Harp and Fiddle restaurant in Bethesda. When I've gone before, I usually go with a group - we have dinner, and then wait for the band to start, thereby bypassing the cover charge. Plus, the band is popular, so the place can get a little big packed.
Love to see you guys there!

Might have to check them out! I am a big fan of Seven Nations (http://www.sevennations.com and http://www.myspace.com/sevennations) a celtic rock band with bag pipes and a stepper.
